Cannabis Financial Reporting in Minnesota

Statements that satisfy a lender, a board and a buyer — plus the operating metrics that run the week.

Financial reporting has two audiences. External parties need comparable, GAAP-basis statements. Operators need a handful of numbers they can act on before the month closes.

We deliver both, on a published calendar, with commentary that explains what moved and why.

The reporting package

Every client receives the same core package, extended for license type and stakeholder requirements.

  • Balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows
  • Consolidated and entity-level views for multi-license groups
  • Budget-to-actual with written variance commentary
  • KPI dashboard: gross margin, cost per unit, shrink, labor ratio, days of inventory
  • Lender covenant compliance schedules
  • Quarterly investor package where outside capital is involved

GAAP where it matters

Many cannabis operators run tax-basis books and discover during diligence that a buyer or a lender expects GAAP. Converting under deadline is expensive and damages credibility.

Where an exit, an outside investor or a bank relationship is realistic, we maintain the differences as we go rather than reconstructing them later.

Reporting that survives diligence

Buyers test the same things: revenue recognition, inventory valuation, related-party transactions and the quality of the monthly close. Consistent, well-documented reporting materially shortens diligence and protects valuation.

Frequently asked questions

When do statements arrive each month?

By the twelfth business day for standard engagements, earlier for clients with clean upstream data and a stable close.

Do you perform audits?

No. We prepare financial statements and support the auditor. Independence rules prevent the same firm from doing both, and we will refer you to audit firms experienced in cannabis.

Can you consolidate multiple entities?

Yes, including intercompany elimination for vertically integrated groups with separate cultivation, manufacturing and retail licenses.

Upgrade the monthly package

Send your current statements and we will show you what is missing for a lender or a buyer.
